Positive Questions Work to Help with Trust Issues, and Enhance Learning – PS 88
Positive Questions Work
Change is a subject and an experience that brings up so many issues for all of us. Who hasn’t been through change? I focus on how asking questions is the first invitation to change. We say the first question starts the change. It triggers emotions, feeling, thoughts, memories, beliefs and even actions. Positive questions work to move people in a direction that is most resourceful.
In this show and over the next weeks, I’ll be putting some attention to how we can become friends with change if that is not our default. And for most of us, it is not! I’ll be talking to people who help others deal with change not only from the psychological perspective but how to implement change across a range of disciplines. I’ll talk to students learning about change methodologies. I’ll talk about my own change training courses.
I invite you to listen to an episode I first recorded in 2017, where I focus on how asking appreciative, positively-framed questions is the first invitation to change.
